The men have been on foot in two areas on Tacoma's eastside: South 56th Street and Pacific Avenue, and South 64th Street and Yakima Avenue.

The first man is described as white, 18 to 20 years old, 5-foot-10, with a thin build and short, light-colored hair. He was wearing a multicolored team jacket with a red baseball cap; and in a second robbery, a blue baseball cap.

The second man is an Asian or Pacific Islander, 18 to 21 years old, 5-foot-9, 160 pounds, with a chubby face and wearing gold hoop earrings in both ears. He wore a black puffy jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans; in the second robbery, he wore the same black puffy jacket with a black numbered sports jersey.

The first robbery occurred at 11 p.m. on Feb. 27 in a parking lot at 56th and Pacific. The men approached a woman on foot. One, armed with a handgun, demanded money from the woman and took her cellphone. The men ordered her into her vehicle and told her to drive to 64th and Yakima, where they forced her to perform a sex act. They then released her at South 56th and G Street and ran away.

The second robbery was at 9:30 p.m. on March 7. The men, who were on foot, approached a woman walking near 6100 Yakima Ave. One man held a handgun and grabbed the woman by the wrist, trying to get her to walk with him. When she resisted, he held the gun to her stomach and demanded her purse. She kept struggling as someone pulled up in a vehicle to help. The attackers ran away.

Tacoma police ask anybody who knows the men to call Detective Jeff Turner at 253-591-5986. Anybody who sees the men should call 911.
