Tuesday, January 17, 2006 - Page updated at 12:16 PM Seattle did break a rain recordOkay, so we didn't break the 33 consecutive days of rain record set in 1953. But during the past 29 days, more rain has fallen than fell during those 33 days, according to the National Weather Service. During the record 33-day stretch, 13.92 inches of rain fell at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. During the 27 straight days of rain over the past month, 13.22 inches of rain fell . Since that dry day Sunday, another .74 inches of rain have fallen, putting the 29-day total at 13.96 inches. But don't expect that number to grow in the next two days. The National Weather Service is predicting dry days tomorrow and Thursday. Copyright © 2006 The Seattle Times Company Most read articles
