Monday will be the legal holiday observing the birth of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Most schools and government offices will be closed, but not all workers will have the day off.
Metro and Sound Transit buses are on their regular schedules, though some Metro commuter routes have reduced service Monday. State ferries are on regular schedule. And some basic services, such as garbage pickup, are on regular schedules.
Other open/closed information:
• Most banks and credit unions are closed Monday, but US Bank in-store branches will be open regular hours.
• Post offices are closed, with no home delivery Monday.
• Public libraries and state liquor stores are closed.
• Seattle's transfer and recycling stations are open.
• Snohomish County's Community Transit buses are running on an adjusted schedule. Everett Transit and Pierce Transit are on regular schedules.
Community events
All are open to the public and, unless noted otherwise, are free.
