Prosecutors today charged two King County corrections officers with custodial sexual misconduct for a alleged incident in March that involved a female jail inmate.
Cedric McGrew, 40, was charged with first-degree custodial sexual misconduct, a felony. Prosecutors allege that McGrew took a 28-year-old woman into a King County Jail recreation room where the woman performed oral sex on the officer. If convicted, McGrew faces a maximum sentence of a year in jail and a $10,000 fine,.
King County prosecutors also charged corrections officer Louis Laurencio, 45, with second-degree custodial sexual misconduct, a gross misdemeanor. Laurencio is accused of photographing the same female inmate's breasts and making sexual comments to her. If convicted, he could face up to a year in jail and a $5,000 fine.
McGrew and Laurencio were arrested in May and later released. They have been on paid administrative leave from the jail since the time of their arrests. The men are scheduled to be arraigned Dec. 15.
