Two private shipping centers in Seattle have joined forces to deliver hurricane-relief donations to a sister store in Baker, La. The Ballard Mail and Dispatch — Sip and Ship and the Alki Mail and Dispatch in Admiral Way are offering free shipping and supplies until the end of this month. "All people have to do is get to us," said Don Wahl, co-owner of Alki Mail and Dispatch. He and his partner Sean O'Hagan received an e-mail from the owner of the Ship-n-Store in Baker, La., stating that many small towns in the hurricane-devastated areas were not receiving aid from the American Red Cross or help from the government. Wahl said the owner was opening her storage facility to house as many donations as possible and had arranged for Ryder trucks to deliver them free of charge to areas not receiving assistance. Wahl, O'Hagan and friends Stephen and Dianna Naramore, owners of Ballard Mail and Dispatch — Sip and Ship, stepped up and have shipped 4 tons of donations in the past week. Two of their shippers, Seko Worldwide and DHL, are helping them transport the goods. The most-needed goods are toiletries, diapers, nonperishables, school supplies and daily items that need replenishing, Wahl said. Donations of shoes and blankets no longer are needed or being accepted. There are no weight restrictions, and both stores will pack the goods. Alki Mail and Dispatch (4701 S.W.
