Seattle police are investigating a shooting in the 10200 block of Belgrove Court Northwest, in the Blue Ridge neighborhood.
About 3 p.m. today, someone called 911 to report that a 32-year-old man was lying shot in a driveway. The man was alive when officers arrived and has been taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, said police spokeswoman Debra Brown.
Police have been talking to the alleged gunman, the 70-year-old father of the victim's girlfriend, on his cell phone while he is driving around, said Officer Sean Whitcomb.
The two men are believed to have gotten into a fight before the younger man was shot twice in the chest, said Whitcomb. Details about the suspect and the vehicle he is driving are unavailable. Whitcomb says the man is armed and dangerous.
