Hundreds to be sworn in as new citizens

Several hundred people from dozens of countries will be sworn in as new citizens at Seattle Center Saturday.

Several hundred people from dozens of countries will be sworn in as new citizens at Seattle Center Saturday.

The 25th annual Naturalization Ceremony will include performances by Navy Band Northwest, United States Army Color Guard and the Total Experience Gospel Choir.

Music starts at 11 a.m., followed by the formal ceremony at noon at Fisher Pavilion (www.ethnicheritagecouncil.org). Laura To, above, waved the U.S. flag at a past ceremony while in the lap of her mother, Wanna Huang. Huang, who is from China, took the oath in 2006.
