Rave From a 12 year old reader, to the teachers who have devoted their lives to preparing us for our future. You help us learn the fundamentals to succeed in life and gain self confidence through our academic accomplishments. You make us excited about learning so that hopefully we won't stop learning when our school years are over, but will continue to have the desire to learn throughout our lives.
Rant To city residents who complain about the small insignificant noises that are expected when living in an urban environment. The Magnolia residents who feel the noise from cruise line ships is worth complaining about seem to forget they chose to live in a major city and seaport. If you want silence, move to Wyoming.
Rave To the Bellevue Fire Department, especially the EMTs, paramedics and firefighters in east Bellevue. During the past month, they have responded to multiplelife-threatening medical and fire emergencies in our neighborhood. Their responses have been immediate and exceptional.Thank you! You truly are the best of the best!
Rave To Tory, who saw me laying on the sidewalk and crossed the street to help me when I'd fallen, broken my arm and was unable to get up. He helped me up and walked me home and I didn't get a chance to thank him.
Rant To homeowners who ignore the dandelions in their yards. I work hard on my house and yard, but I have numerous neighbors who don't care about their yards and the weeds end up in my yard. When I kindly approach the neighbors about this, I'm treated like on old crab.
Rave To a passer-by who stopped her car and came to our door to let us know that there was a lot of black smoke coming from our backyard. It was our barbecue on the deck and fire could have spread to the house. Thank you!
Rant To the handyman I hired off of Craigslist who made sick, threatening comments to me. I had to fire him and get a restraining order. Last time I checked, he's still advertising. Be careful, and get a reputable contractor!
