The election is over. Hollywood has given out its Academy Awards. The streets of Seattle are freed from winter ice storms. (Maybe.) Now it's time for the Peeps.

With the annual Seattle Times Peeps contest, we encourage you to concoct sculptures, dioramas, tableaux or any other form that inspires you — as long as it's made (mostly) of marshmallow Peeps.

We're sticking with a "Newsmakers" theme this year — so let the world of politics, news, pop culture or anything else that makes headlines inspire your creativity.

Your challenge: Upload a photo of your original entry now! The deadline is March 30 at 5 p.m. We will publish the winning entries on Sunday, April 12.

In the meantime, you will be able to view some of the entries at in our Peeps Parade.
