Alert: The medallion has been found. The contest is over.
New clues will be revealed daily through Friday, Oct. 24, unless the medallion is found earlier. Solve and follow the clues to find the medallion located somewhere in the city of Seattle.
The medallion is located on public property within the Seattle city limits. It is accessible to everyone — there is no need to climb, crawl or clamber. When you find the medallion, you will be able to remove it easily from its location.
You do not need to dig, move or disturb property in any way.
The medallion is not located on the Woodland Park Zoo premises; it is not located on private property.
Upon finding the medallion, immediately follow the directions printed on the back to qualify for the award.
If the medallion is not found by 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, the sponsors reserve the right to terminate the search.
All contestants agree that the University of Washington (including but not limited to the College of Arts and Sciences and the UW Alumni Association), Hillel Foundation, city of Seattle, the Woodland Park Zoo and The Seattle Times, and their respective affiliations, parents, subsidies, advertising representatives, and agents, will have no liability whatsoever, and will be held harmless for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting in whole or part, directly or indirectly from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the prizes or participation in this contest.
Except where legally prohibited, by accepting the prize the winner grants permission for sponsors of the search to use his or her name, photograph, voice and/or likeness for advertising and/or publicity.
All contest rules and decisions are final. Employees, faculty, staff, board members and their immediate family members from the following groups are ineligible to win the contest: UW Alumni Association, College of Arts & Sciences Dean's Office, ECS Clue Writing Committee, Hillel UW, The Seattle Times, Woodland Park Zoo, and any city of Seattle employee involved with the coordination of the search. Previous winners are also ineligible.
