Free tips on saving old home movies

Save your old 8 mm, super 8 and 16 mm amateur and home films with experts' tips on Home Movie Day, Oct. 18.

Dig out your old home movies. As part of International Home Movie Day, different organizations in the U.S. and abroad will offer preservation tips and show home movies on Oct. 18.

The free event might save you a little cash in learning how to protect 8 mm, super 8 and 16 mm amateur and home films. In Seattle, the event will be from 5-9 p.m. at Wallingford United Methodist Church, 2115 N. 42nd St.
