The following recalls have been announced:

Coffee makers. About 145,000 Chinese-made Kenmore and Kenmore Elite coffee makers, because the wiring can overheat, posing a risk of burns and fires. The coffee makers were sold at Sears, Sears Hardware, The Great Indoors and Kmart stores around the country, as well as online between August 2007 and April 2008. Details: www.sears.com, www.kmart.com or www.thegreatindoors.com.

Activity bars for strollers. About 10,000 Taggies Strollin' Along stroller activity bars, manufactured in Hong Kong and imported and distributed by International Playthings, because the shiny material on the elephants can detach, posing a choking hazard. Car chargers. About 210,000 car chargers used with Power System Plus 3 Million Candlepower Spotlights, manufactured in China and imported and distributed by International Merchandising Service, because the charger is not compatible with the spotlight's battery. Lighting. About 1,400 indoor lighting fixtures, made in the U.S. by Lithonia Lighting, because the glass reflector can separate from the fixture and fall, posing a risk of injury. The recalled Hi-Bay Indoor High-Intensity Discharge (HID) Fixtures have the model Nos. PG16A and PG21A. The product was sold by electrical distributors and sales representatives nationwide from January 2007 through May this year. Details: www.lithonia.com or www.cpsc.gov.
