Our picks to click this week:
• For the lunch crowd, Design*Sponge (www.designspongeonline.com) shows how to create a woodgrain oilcloth lunch bag with a few easy stitches on a sewing machine. If you're not wild about toting your sandwich in a faux bois (fake wood) bag, there are plenty of other oilcloth designs to choose from at fabric and craft stores. You'll find the project under the site's DIY area.
Also at Design*Sponge, click on the "before and after" area to see how artist Amy Rice transformed two ordinary brown side chairs into colorful seating.
• Head over to At Home at Home (www.athomeathome.blogspot.com) for a mini-makeover of a young girl's room in a rental house. The posting includes a clever idea for fashioning an inexpensive yet completely cute headboard.
• For inspiration in sprucing up your home, check out how a garden is changing the curb appeal of a home at Making it Lovely (makingitlovely.com).
• Gardening not your thing? Then click over to Beach Bungalow 8 (beachbungalow8.blogspot.com) for a peek inside the "fantasy girly bach-pad" saturated in rich colors.
