Peeps in the news!
Britney Speeps. Amy Winehouse Peep. Larry Craig Peep (it has a wide stance). Our annual contest proves that scandal and marshmallow Peeps go together like Easter and bunnies.
Britney Speeps. Amy Winepeep. Larry Craig Peep (it has a wide stance). This year's competition proves that scandal and marshmallow Peeps go together like Easter and bunnies.
The theme is "newsmakers," and the entries lived up to the challenge. Washington's caucuses were a popular topic, as was global warming and Hannah Montana.
Barack Obama was the overwhelming favorite when it came to Peeps depictions, with Hillary Clinton running a distant second. (What, no John McPeeps?)
The writers' strike inspired some Peeps tableaus, as did the baseball steroids scandal — Peeps swelled up to twice their natural size!
Some, such as "Peep van Gogh" and "Viking Peeple," took on timeless subjects. Others were wickedly clever, but ... let's put it this way, we don't even want to see marshmallows in Michael Vicks' fighting ring, OK?
And we'll leave you with this: "Don't Taze Me, Peep!"
