Green Fashion Week events
Tuesday: Mad Dash for Fashion private shopping event, 5 p.m. An evening of boutique shopping, concluding with the Fashion Week "signature" cocktail at swanky downtown bar Vessel, 1312 Fifth Ave., Seattle.
Wednesday: Book-release party and "green" panel discussion, 7 p.m. at El Gaucho, 2505 First Ave., Seattle. A cocktail party to celebrate the launch of the "Earth Pledge Future Fashion White Papers," a compilation of essays about the green movement in the fashion industry. Also, a panel discussion on green choices.
Thursday: Fashion Week trunk show, 5-8 p.m. For VIP ticket holders only. Get a sneak preview of the designer collections, along with a professional style consultation with Darcey Howard of LifeStyled (getlifestyled.com). Featuring cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in El Gaucho's Pampas Room.
Oct. 5: Fashion Week Style Suite. For VIP ticket holders only. A style suite event at the Inn at El Gaucho, with organic product freebies and spa treatments, including blowouts, manis, pedis and brow shaping.
Oct. 6: Private cocktail reception, 6:30 p.m. at Bell Harbor International Conference Center, 2211 Alaskan Way, Seattle. For VIP ticket holders only. Enjoy cocktails and hors d'ouevres before the runway show and mingle with Fashion Week mistress of ceremonies Summer Rayne Oakes.
Oct. 6: Fashion Week runway show, 8 p.m., Bell Harbor. Featuring national and local eco-friendly designers, including specially designed pieces by Diane von Furstenberg, Heatherette and Oscar de la Renta.
