12 days 'til Christmas

It's the season that distracts us from the shortening days, the charcoal skies, the sodden ground. It's the season when we can sing badly, and without shame. When we can put antlers on our dogs, Santa hats on giant clams and twinkling lights on a statue of Lenin. We're pretty sure he'd approve.
