Beautiful Bridal Britney: Hitch me, baby, one more time!

By Pamela Sitt
Seattle Times staff reporter

Eliza Bacon of Seattle created "A Down-Home Look," with homage to Britney's first wedding trucker-hat outfit. For more Britney bridal gowns, see our gallery of reader designs.

Gallery of Britney bridal designs
With all the wedding dresses our readers designed for Britney Spears' second trot down the aisle, rumored to be later this fall, the fickle bride-to-be could — oops! — do it again ... and again ... and again, and never run out of things to wear.

We received more than 300 entries in our Beautiful Bridal Britney contest — outfits fashioned from toilet paper (at least five), paper clips, bubble wrap, feathers and crayons. Not all were dresses; one ensemble bedecked a wild-eyed Britney with a dunce cap and a straitjacket.

Everyone from 5-year-olds to their grandmothers wanted to dress Britney for her big day. More than half the entries were from young fans age 16 and under, showing both devotion to Britney and a lot of creativity. The designs ran the gamut from the Bridal Burka, adorned with pink flowers and a heart-shaped hole for her eyes, to the Bridal Bikini, paired with angel wings and a white garter. And then there was the Full Monty Britney, a hit in the office, but not something we can produce in a family newspaper.

We figured the sky's the limit for a bride who wore torn jeans and a trucker cap the first time she said "I do." With that in mind, here are some of our favorites.

Starting Friday, you'll be able to see all the entries on display at the Center House at Seattle Center.
