Where to look

To find a personal life coach, check the Yellow Pages or the Internet.

• The International Coach Federation: www.coachfederation.org

• Coach U is online at www.coachinc.com and has a "find a coach" feature at www.findacoach.com

• Academy for Coach Training: www.coachtraining.com

• ICF-Puget Sound Chapter: www.pugetsoundcoaches.org

Events

• Why is life speeding up, and what can we do about it? How can we find a more balanced life in the midst of these changes? These questions will be discussed at a public forum on "Information and the Quality of Life," 7 p.m. Monday, May 10, at Seattle's Town Hall, Eighth Avenue and Seneca Street. The forum will begin with an address by Bill McKibben, author of "Enough: Staying Human in an Engineered Age" (Henry Holt, $25). Information: www.ischool.washington.edu/iql/forum.

• Declare an e-mail- or TV-free day once a week, or try sauntering instead of power walking. People will discuss these and other ways to stop rushing and enjoy life at a workshop for the global "slow life movement," 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. July 13 at the Phinney Neighborhood Association, 6532 Phinney Ave. N., Room 6.

For information on upcoming discussions, contact Cecile Andrews at cecile@simplicitycircles.com or 206-783-1152 or check the Take Back Your Time Day Web site at www.timeday.org.
