Why Andrew Garcia won't be your next 'American Idol'
Posted by Cheri Robertson
I couldn't think of 10, so here are the top eight reasons that Andrew Garcia won't be the next American Idol:
No. 8. He always wears ugly scally caps. Not even golfers can make those hats look good. Honestly.
No. 7. He has a neck tattoo. eew.
No. 6. His facebook fan page is 'only' 11,000+ strong.
No. 5. His sob story doesn't involve cancer or death. He is the son of two former gang members who is trying to give his own son all the best the world has to offer.
No. 4. He just doesn't have 'the look.' He's not nerdy like Clay Aiken, not edgy like Adam Lambert, not sexy like Chris Daughtry and not quite a rotund teddy bear like Ruben Studdard.
No. 3. He's already peaked. Fellow AI bloggers are pretty enamored with this guy. In fact, Patrick Brown has him ranked as his No. 1 pick, and as Bob Payne noted, the Vegas odds have Garcia as the top bet as well.
No. 2. The only thing he really has going for him is his voice, which is arguably the best of the season.
And the No. 1 reason Andrew Garcia won't be the next American Idol? I really want him to win. He is that good. But, my luck is so bad, it's a clear kiss of death. Maybe I should start rooting for someone else in an attempt to trick the gods of fate.
