Report: Pac-10 Will Extend An Invite To Utah On Wednesday
Posted by Percy Allen
According to Comcast SportsNet, the Pac-10 will extend an invitation to Utah to become the conference's 12th team and a press conference is planned for Wednesday.
No other news outlet is reporting this and there's a conflicting story on ESPN.com that says Utah has not been contacted by the Pac-10.
The conference added Colorado last week giving it 11 teams and the league needs 12 so it can hold a conference championship game in football.
Utah is currently a member of the Mountain West Conference.
**UPDATED 9 a.m.**
Pac-10 Commissioner Larry Scott told the Denver Post the Comcast SportsNet report "is not accurate."
