Elston Turner Jr. Transfers to Texas A&M
Posted by Percy Allen
Elston Turner Jr., a sophomore guard who played the past two seasons at Washington, will transfer to Texas A&M.
Turner told Houston's KRIV-TV he chose the Aggies because it's where he "felt the most comfortable" and it's where he "could affect the game in many ways,"
Turner had been unhappy about his role with the Huskies and said he wanted to find a place where he could showcase a vast array of skills.
Turner averaged 5.5 points and 1.9 rebounds, in 36 games last season. He started three games, but lost his job in December. Turner attempted 108 three-pointers and sank 41, the second most on the team. Despite his accuracy behind the arc, he shot .545 on free throws.
