Huskies fall to 17th in AP rankings
Posted by Bill Reader
Washington fell to No. 17 in The Associated Press men's basketball poll released this morning. The Huskies (6-1) were 12th last week, before a loss at Texas Tech and a victory at home Sunday over Cal State Northridge.
Texas Tech entered the rankings at No. 23 this week.
The top three remain Kansas, Texas and Villanova.
Georgetown, the Huskies' opponent Saturday at Anaheim, Calif., is ranked No. 15. The Huskies are the only Pac-10 team in the top 25.
Gonzaga (6-2) fell from No. 17 to 21.
In the USA Today-ESPN poll, the Huskies dropped from 10th to 16th and Gonzaga fell from No. 16 to No. 22.
Here's a look at both polls.
Despite last week's loss, UW remain at No. 6 in the RPI rankings.
