Wright State game just got a whole lot easier

Posted by Percy Allen

Washington will face a weakened Wright State in the Nov. 13 season opener for both teams.

Raiders guard Vaughn Duggins has been suspended for the first three games of the season because he was arrested with operating a vehicle under the influence in August, charged with OVI in September and faces a pretrial hearing in the case on Nov. 16.

For some reason, it took coach Brad Brownell two months to levy the punishment.

Duggins, a 6-3 junior, was a first-team All-Horizon League player as a sophomore when he averaged 13.8 points per game. Last season he led the team in scoring before breaking his shooting-hand finger before the fourth game. Duggins sat out the rest of the season on a medical redshirt and he has two years of eligibility.
