Pac-10 exhibition season begins
Posted by Percy Allen
A handful of schools began the exhibition season Sunday with blowout victories. Of course, the scores really don't matter unless you're the USC Trojans and you need a second half comeback to beat Division II Cal State Dominguez Hills. (Is it too late to change my Pac-10 predictions?)
The Trojans played without six players, including four possible starters and struggled early on. USC's Dwight Lewis led all scorers with 17 points.
The Ducks cruised to a 99-61 win over Concordia evening at McArthur. Oregon freshman forward Jamil Wilson had 17 points. Oregon coach Ernie Kent said: "We had talked to Concordia and told them we were going run." This is the story in the Register Guard.
And OSU beat the tar out of Southern Oregon in the first exhibition for the Beavers.
Here's a look at the rest of the week for the practice games.
Wednesday --- Arizona, Washington and UCLA
Thursday --- Cal
Friday --- Stanford
Nov. 9 --- Washington State
