09-10 schedule released
Posted by Bob Condotta
The schedule for next season has officially been released, though with one caveat --- there is still no opponent named for UW's appearance in the Wooden Classic.
But the rest of it is done, and it reveals no real surprises as the high-profile games at Texas Tech and home against Texas A&M as part of the Big 12-Pac-10 Challenge were announced months ago.
The Tech game is the only non-conference road game for the Huskies, with the Wooden Classic counting as a neutral site contest.
UW will play Central Washington Nov. 4 in an exhibition game before kicking off the regular season Nov. 13 with the Athletes in Action Basketball Classic at UW.
The Pac-10 schedule starts with a home game Dec. 31 against Oregon State and is interrupted only by a game against Seattle U and new coach Cameron Dollar at Hec Ed on Jan. 26.
(And as some pointed out after I posted this initially, I should have noted that the Nov. 20 game against San Jose State will feature the return of former Husky Adrian Oliver. Phil Nelson, also part of the Class of 2006, will also make another return with Portland State on Nov. 15).
You can find the schedule here and I also have a copy of it below. Times and TV will be set later. (The asterisk represents a Pac-10 game).
