Sunday night notes --- UW's Pro Day announced, and more

Washington's Pro Day --- when NFL scouts come to town to look at whatever draft-eligible players wish to work out --- may not be quite the attention-getter it was last season, when Jake Locker's presence made it a national media event.

But with at last four players with legitimate hopes of getting drafted, it'll be interesting nonetheless. And the date has been set, according to the NFL, which has the list here, showing Washington's will be held on March 8.

CBSSports.com also has a rundown of the pro days, as well as more info on what the upcoming weeks hold for prospective draftees.

IN OTHER NEWS. ...

--- Rivals.com leads off with Washington in a look at coaching staff changes, and specifically how they may impact recruiting.

--- Stanford's Scout, com site has a premium story on Bellarmine Prep receiver Michael Rector explaining his decision to sign with the Cardinal instead of UW, to whom he had committed in June. In essence, he says had hadn't been offered by Stanford when he initially committed to UW. He says he got offered by Stanford shortly afterward and decided to keep the Cardinal in mind as an option. When he got admitted to Stanford in December he said it became more serious and he decided in January to change his mind, news that leaked about a week before signing day and was part of why UW pursued Cedric Dozier as a receiver.

--- USC held its Junior Day this weekend and among those getting offers was Skyline QB Max Browne. ESPN,com says the Trojans are likely to make him a priority after not getting a QB in this class (and in what probably barely needs repeating in this space, is in large part because Cyler Miles decided to stick with his UW commitment).

--- The Bellevue Reporter has a story on Danny Razore's hiring at UW.

--- An Alabama newspaper has a feature on Doug Nussmeier.
