Friday night notes --- Another new Husky?
With letter-of-intent signing day now just 12 days away, a constant stream of "Woofs'' from UW coach Steve Sarkisian's Twitter feed is to be expected.
So it was tonight as Sarkisian's "WOOF!'' tipped off UW fans that another recruit is apparently in the fold.
And swiftly, both RealDawg.com and Dawgman.com reported that fullback Psalm Wooching of Kealakehe High in Kailua Kona, Hawaii had committed to the Huskies.
Wooching, rated three stars by Scout.com and Rivals.com, committed to UCLA last May but reopened his recruiting following the change in coaches in Westwood.
Wooching is one of five players reported on an official visit to UW this weekend. Listed at 6-3, 205, he would be the 20th commit for UW's Class of 2012, though given all the coaching changes of late, few will be surprised if there isn't some shuffling in that group.
Here's a scouting report on Wooching from ESPN.com that states:
"Woochung is a big and physical high school back who could actually get recruited to play several positions at the college level. Tall, well-built but still lean enough to add another 10-15 pounds of muscle making it likely he will outgrow the position. For his size he displays a very good blend of size, strength and straight-line speed. Hits the line with urgency and makes sharp subtle cutbacks while staying square and losing little downhill momentum."

--- Unclear yet where Nick Montana will play next. But it won't be at Blinn College as coaches there said Friday he won't be going there.
--- Cal athletic director Sandy Barbour e-mailed Bears' donors and supporters today to let them know of her "displeasure'' over UW's hires of two Cal assistants.
