On what he is working on in Irvine, Calif., with Ken O'Brien: "A lot of little fundamentals. At the top of the drop, especially the longer five and seven-step drops, keeping your feet controlled at the top, not letting yourself get too narrow of a base, which then would allow you to get too wide of a base on your stride to throw and force the ball to go high. So we've been working on keeping a good base at the top, and then keeping the stride length shorter to allow your arm to be in pace with the rest of your body and the ball to go where you want it to."

On what game of his career at Washington would define him as a quarterback: "I think that the Oregon State game this last year. [It would show] competitiveness, the will to win, and I think that was a great team effort for us. You see it wasn't one guy, it wasn't two guys, it was everybody working together and the chemistry that we were able to build as a football team in the locker room. It was a double-overtime game in which we won and it was a big game we needed to win. I think all of those things come out in that game."

On how he would answer questions about his accuracy: "I'm very proud of what I accomplished while I was at school and I don't believe the numbers are indicative of the success that we had and how far we came as a program, and myself as an individual. I'm excited about the opportunity to play at the next level and I know that I will be a more accurate passer than that and I can [be]."

On if there is anything from baseball that carries over to what he is working on now: "I haven't played baseball in a couple years but I think that being able to spend time now for the last couple months just strictly working on the fundamentals of playing the position [and] not having to worry about going through progressions and reads, and just working on the physical aspect and the little details that can make you that much more successful has been very beneficial to me. [It has] allowed me to work on the little things that I need to improve my game."

On criticism about his abilities he believes is untrue: "The accuracy. I think that obviously the numbers aren't where they'd want to be but I believe that I truly am a more accurate passer than that. That's my goal throughout this process, to prove that in the Senior Bowl and then to the Combine and now to my Pro Day and individual workouts, that I can make the throws that I'll be asked to make and I can make it on a consistent basis."

On why the accuracy doesn't reflect the kind of player he is: "A lot of people ask me why I went down [in completion percentage] from my junior year to my senior year, and I think that the biggest thing [is] I believe it's because I was a smarter player [my senior year]. I threw the ball way more than I did a year before, maybe didn't force the ball into holes where it got intercepted or was a tight completion but didn't give us a better chance to have success. Throwing the ball away when you get outside of the pocket instead of taking the three yard loss on a scramble, little things we considered winning plays in our quarterback room that might hurt your completion percentage. But I thought I played smarter, and that might have been one of the reasons my percentage was a little lower this past year."
