Locker gets engaged --- and a couple other links

A UW spokesman confirmed after practice today that Husky quarterback Jake Locker has indeed gotten engaged to longtime girlfriend Lauren Greer, a former member of the UW softball team.
The two first got to know each other well in the fall of 2008 when Locker was rehabbing a broken thumb that held him out for the rest of the season while Greer was also rehabbing a shoulder injury.
Locker recently mentioned spending time the last few Decembers with Greer in the San Diego area (she is from Placentia, Calif.) and seeing some of the Holiday Bowl activities.

--- ESPN.com's Ted Miller had a good interview today with Husky defensive coordinator Nick Holt. Most notably, Holt says it may take 2-3 years before the UW defensive line is built to the standard needed to compete at a high level.
