Friday links --- Locker to chat with ESPN Monday

Catching up on a few items. ...

--- Jake Locker will hold a live chat through ESPN.com on Monday afternoon at 10:30 a.m. This is part of Locker's trip to the New York area to meet with a few select media representatives, including a tour of ESPN. All of this is designed to increase awareness of Locker as the school kicks off a Heisman campaign in his behalf, though one that is likely to be pretty understated overall.

--- Ted Miller has news of the NCAA's unusual response to USC's claims of factual errors in its report on infractions by the school. In his mailbag he also opines on whether USC's appeal has any chance for success and whether a WSU-Oregon game in Seattle will happen.

--- Former UW QB Cody Pickett has made Calgary's final roster as the CFL's opening day nears.

--- CBSSports.com pegs UW as one of five teams that had losing records last season that should make a bowl game this year.
