Huskies to go under the lights for spring game

Washington has just announced its beginning and end dates for spring practice, and it features a new wrinkle --- the spring game will be held under the lights on Friday, April 30.
There is no exact time for the game announced yet, only that it will be a "Friday Night Lights'' game, which I figure means 7 p.m. or something.
Spring practice will start March 30, and the as you can see by looking at the two dates, the coaches are spreading the practices out over a longer period than has usually been done. This likely means just 2-3 practices a week instead of 3-4, which can keep the players fresher.
The Windermere Cup and the traditional opening day of boating season is May 1, so that sets up as a big weekend for UW sports.
The UW spring quarter begins March 29 and spring practices begin the next day.
The official release also stated that spring practices will again be open to the public.
UPDATE --- I've gotten a little additional info on how this came about. UW can't begin spring ball until after the spring quarter begins, but wanted to spread it out another week, so that meant the spring game would be a week later than normal. As mentioned the Windermere Cup is May 1, so they didn't want to conflict with that. So the solution was to have the spring game on a Friday night the day before the Windermere Cup. I'd assume there will be a couple of Saturday scrimmages mixed in, and those are often as interesting as the spring game itself, so there should be ample opportunities for fans to see the team in the spring. By NCAA rules, teams are limited to 15 practices in a spring.
