Locker to return for senior season
Posted by Bob Condotta
A source close to the situation has told The Seattle Times that Washington QB Jake Locker will return to UW for his senior season.
This jibes with other reports that Locker has been leaning toward returning, including the comments of Washington AD Scott Woodard this morning to the Times that he was "very optimistic'' that Locker would return for another year.
This is huge news for the UW, which will return a QB who has been listed as being among the top draft picks for 2010 had he decided to come out.
Locker has apparently begun informing people this morning that he is returning.
UPDATE --- And just as I posted this, the school sent out a release saying that Locker has decided to return.
In that release, Locker said that: "After a great deal of careful thought and deliberation, I have decided to return to Washington and play my senior year. I am very excited about this team's opportunities and potential for the upcoming season and I am looking forward to being a part of it."
