I'll start with a couple of interesting quotes in the Orange County Register from UCLA safety Rahim Moore, who made the interception on UW's final play.

Moore says in this story, and in this one, that UW QB Jake Locker telegraphs his throws and that's why Moore was able to be in position to make the play at the end. Moore grabbed the ball after cornerback Sheldon Price initially broke up a pass intended for Jermaine Kearse with 54 seconds left.

Moore told the paper that "I disguised it a little bit knowing Jake Locker, wherever he looks, that's where he throws. I was already over there by the time he threw it. I stole it from Sheldon but I wanted to make a play for the team and that was it."

He also said that "That's film study. They tried to isolate. We got a true freshman over there. Jake Locker, he telegraphs his throws a lot. Wherever he's looking, he's going. So I was already over there. I took off."

One could obviously argue why, if Locker telegraphs his throws, he threw 40 and had just one intercepted (four others were listed as officially being broken up). Locker completed 23 of 40 for 235 yards and two touchdowns.

Locker has thrown nine interceptions this season, which is tied for Arizona State's Danny Sullivan for the most in the Pac-10. But it's nowhere near the most in the nation --- here's the list of the nation's leading passers and you can see all kinds of guys have double digit picks this year.

Locker's interception percentage of 2.8 also isn't all that high.

However, Locker's passing efficiency rating has been dropping. It's down to a season-low 122.82 after yesterday's game, which is seventh in the conference and 76th in the nation. He had an efficiency rating of 149.59 after the second game of the season against Idaho. His rating his first two years at UW was a combined 104.7. For comparison's sake, the Pac-10 leader right now is
Stanford's Andrew Luck at 153.09.

Moore leads the nation in interceptions with eight so he's picked on lots of guys this year.

After Moore picked off Locker's pass, he was tackled and thrown hard to the ground by UW tailback Chris Polk. And Moore's antics apparently got to Polk during the game.

"That was my frustration,'' Polk said of his hard tackle. "Plus, I didn't like the guy.... but I didn't want to him or something. I didn't want to pull a Blount.'' That was a reference to the infamous LeGarrette Blount incident following the Oregon-Boise State game earlier this season.
