UW special teams, a correction on Rick Neuheisel, and the ubiquitous more. ...
--- For my story for Thursday's paper I looked at some of UW's special teams struggles of late.
--- You might have heard the story of a UCLA parent attacking Neuheisel on his Facebook account over the weekend. The father is now saying he didn't do it. Here's a different version of that story. I made reference to that story in this story on the Bruins today but it will be/has been changed to reflect what the father is now saying.
--- The LA Times, meanwhile, reports that it was "a bad day at practice'' for the Bruins as WRs Randall Carroll and Morrell Presley -- each backups --- left with injuries, while cornerback Aaron Hester, a second-teamer, was ruled out.
--- Nick Daschel says Husky Stadium in its prime was louder than Autzen Stadium was Saturday against USC.
--- Seahawks.com has a nice story on former Husky Louis Rankin, who may now be getting a shot to play with the release of Edgerrin James.
--- This is a little old, but former UW QB Cody Pickett, who had been starting for the Toronto Argonauts, is out for the year with an oblique injury and sounds as if it's uncertain if he'll be back there next season.
All for now.
