Despite what the little Yahoo thing says, I am not wearing a new shirt today. ...
--- In our weekly look at UW's opponent, I focused on Rick Neuheisel's struggles in his second year at UCLA. The Bruins are 7-13 overall in Neuheisel's two years there, and 3-11 in Pac-10 play, beating only UW, WSU and Stanford last season.
--- Bud Withers takes another look at Oregon's win over USC, along with a few other Pac-10 notes.
--- The Orange Country Register notes that the Bruins are preparing for Jake Locker despite his shaky injury status.
--- This is a pay story from Scout.com with all of Neuheisel's comments following UCLA's practice yesterday. But I link it because it has a comment from Neuheisel indicating just how much difference there is in the eyes of opponents on UW's two QBs. Asked if it matters much if Locker is in or not in, Neuheisel said: "Well, you know, we played against. ... is it Fouch? I think it's Ronnie, right? We played against him last year and I was impressed with him. But Jake Locker is a difference maker.''
--- The LA Daily News notebook focuses on a Colorado transfer looking at UCLA.
--- The LA Times examines UCLA's running back situation and also has some injury updates.
--- Nick Daschel takes a look at Pac-10 coordinators.
--- Jon Wilner ranks the Pac-10 tailbacks and has Chris Polk No. 7.
--- The Spokesman-Review calls Stanford the luckiest team in the Pac-10 for getting to be the team that plays teams that have just beaten USC, including some comments from UW coach Steve Sarkisian.
--- Lots of Pac-10 news and links from Ken Goe at The Oregonian. The Spokesman-Review also has links.
All for now.
