Election-day links. ...

--- Here's my story for today's paper on Jake Locker, with a few other notes tossed in.

--- Nick Daschel has UW eighth, though maybe it's really seventh, in his weekly Pac-10 power ratings, and says he expects a much better effort Saturday against UCLA.

--- The LA Times notes that UCLA's schedule eases a bit now.

--- The Times also has a feature on UCLA WR Nelson Rosario, who will be a really tough matchup for the Huskies Saturday. His TD against OSU Saturday is one of the highlight-reel plays of the season in the Pac-10.

--- The Orange County Register writes that the UCLA defense may finally respect its offense a bit after the rally against Oregon State.

--- A UCLA notebook from the LA Daily News group.

--- Here's an AP overview of UCLA's current state.

--- Interesting story from the LA Times on how Pete Carroll's former assistants have fared as head coaches --- not all that well so far.

--- Rick Neuheisel and Locker have a prior connection.

More later today from the Pac-10 coaches conference call and practice.
