Locker taking snaps early on
Posted by Bob Condotta
Back from the opening minutes of UW's practice and QB Jake Locker is in pads --- well, half-pads as the team is practicing in helmets, shoulder pads and shorts/sweats --- and doing all the usual work early on.
Locker and Ronnie Fouch were working with the starting skill guys as Keith Price ran the scout team offense against the defense. It's hard to say how he looked since the early period was going through plays at about 3/4 speed or so, and with no contact or anything like that. But in what he was doing in that period, he looked normal.
As for other personnel news. ...
--- LB E.J. Savannah was not in pads and appeared to have his arm/hand in a cast (he had it covered so hard to tell completely).
--- OL Mykenna Ikehara, resting a knee that he banged last Monday, was not in pads.
--- WR Jordan Polk was also not in pads and was running the steps.
--- DE Kalani Aldrich and DT Cameron Elisara were each back working with the defense.
--- Cort Dennison was working with the starting defense in place of Savannah. Alvin Logan got some reps with the No. 2's at that spot, as well. (Josh Gage can also play there).
More later.
