Quick practice update --- Williams, Goodwin, Fogerson still out
Posted by Bob Condotta
Percy Allen is covering practice for us today and will have a more complete report later.
But he phoned in a few quick updates from practice worth sharing:
--- Both Nate Williams and D'Andre Goodwin were still in red today with concussions suffered Saturday, indicating they are doubtful to play, at best. Coach Steve Sarkisian said Williams is definitely out for Saturday. Goodwin, meanwhile, might be able to play but Sarkisian indicated he probably won't, in part because Devin Aguilar is back to full health this weekend.
--- However, Greg Walker did return to practice today after sitting out most of yesterday with a tweaked knee and was able to participate in all the drills and will be able to play Saturday. He ran some with the first team at free safety alongside Victor Aiyewa, who will fill in for Williams. However, Nathan Fellner also got reps with the first team and Sarkisian said he didn't know who would start at FS of Walker or Fellner. However, he said Fellner will definitely see action.
--- RB Johri Fogerson remained out for the third straight day with the flu and seems unlikely to be able to play Saturday. Sarkisian said it's not the swine flu but that Fogerson is being kept away from the rest of the team. Demitrius Bronson will move up to the spot as the primary backup for Chris Polk and could get the first carries of his UW career.
Percy will be back with more later.
