Scott Woodward was named University of Washington athletic director in September 2008.
During his short tenure, the Huskies have won numerous Pac-10 conference championships and three national championships — women's cross country, men's crew and softball.
His hiring of football coach Steve Sarkisian and a recent 10-year contract extension for basketball coach Lorenzo Romar have energized the athletic department and UW fans.
Woodward talked about the Husky Stadium renovation, the school's sports programs and much more in a live chat May 26 on seattletimes.com.
