Player of the game

UCLA quarterbacks Kevin Prince and Kevin Craft share the honors after completing 23 of 31 passes for 371 yards and two touchdowns. Prince was 13 of 17 for 212 yards before leaving the game with a possible concussion after taking a hard hit from Washington linebacker Donald Butler. Craft, a senior, then came in and completed 10 of 14 for 159 yards and one score.

Play of the game

UCLA's Terrence Austin was credited with a 29-yard touchdown on a play the Huskies later disputed as he dived to catch a Craft pass, bobbled it as he hit the ground, then controlled it as he turned over into the end zone. Some Huskies thought the ball hit the ground. The play cut UW's lead to 23-21 with 10:53 to play in the third quarter.

Turning point

After Washington appeared to take control with a 23-14 lead early in the third quarter, Austin returned the kickoff 59 yards. The play set up his disputed TD reception and immediately swung the momentum back to the Bruins.

UW player of the game

Tailback Chris Polk topped the 100-yard mark in the second quarter and finished with 132 yards on 15 carries, 4 yards shy of his career high set at Notre Dame and his third 100-yard game of the season, all in the last five games.

Key stat

UCLA had five turnovers, but they led to just 13 Washington points as the Huskies couldn't take advantage of their opportunities.

Injury report

No new injuries reported for UW.
