Player of the game

Huskies receiver Devin Aguilar had career highs with seven catches for 154 yards, including a 49-yard touchdown on UW's first possession.

Play of the game

ASU's winning touchdown came with shocking suddenness as quarterback Danny Sullivan dropped back and, with no pressure, lofted a 50-yard pass to Chris McGaha with five seconds left.

Turning point

Washington went three-and-out on its last drive, deciding to pass on a third-and-one with 22 seconds left, giving the ball back to ASU with 13 seconds left after a punt.

ASU player of the game

Sullivan finished 21 of 35 for 263 yards and one touchdown, the game-winner.

And in Jake Locker news ...

The Huskies quarterback completed 22 of 38 passes for 279 yards, with the 49-yard scoring pass to Aguilar. Late in the game, Locker drove the Huskies from their own 22-yard line to the ASU 11, setting up Eric Folk's field goal that tied the score at 17. On that drive, Locker hit Aguilar with a 21-yard pass, and Jermaine Kearse with a 34-yarder. On the pass to Kearse, Locker rolled out and lofted a ball downfield and Kearse made a spectacular, leaping catch.

Key stat

The Huskies had 12 penalties for 124 yards in a game that featured high emotions throughout. The Sun Devils committed nine penalties, for 99 yards.

By the numbers

3 Missed field goals in the game, one by Folk and two by ASU's Thomas Weber. Folk actually made a 48-yarder late in the first half, but Arizona State had called a timeout just before the snap. On his next try, after another Sun Devils timeout, he missed. The misses by Weber were the first of the season for UW opponents, who came into the game 17 for 17.

99 Rushing yards for the Huskies, on 27 carries, an average of 3.7 yards. Chris Polk had a tough time early, but he did break loose for a 23-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter that cut ASU's lead to 17-14. Polk finished with 51 yards on 12 carries. The Sun Devils ran for 169, but 75 came on one run by Cameron Marshall.
