Tagline

7:30 p.m. at Husky Stadium

TV: ESPN Radio: KJR (950 AM). The line: Tigers by 17 ½

At stake: LSU harbors national-title hopes and needs to win to stay in that race. Washington hopes for a big upset to kick off the Steve Sarkisian era.

What to expect: Expect more drop-back passing from Jake Locker and possibly a little more aggression out of the UW defense. LSU will try to use two big OTs to establish a power running game, then use its speed to create big plays.

Notes: Teams have met just once, a 40-14 LSU win in Baton Rouge in 1983. ... LSU is just the third SEC team to visit Husky Stadium. Alabama (1978) and Mississippi State (1977) are the other two. ... UW has lost 14 in a row overall, the longest skid in school history and one shy of tying the Pac-10 record set by Oregon State (1990-91, '95-96).

Injuries: UW: S Jason Wells (Achilles), OT Skyler Fancher (ankle) and LB Matt Houston (biceps) are out; CB Matt Mosley (knee) is questionable; TE Kavario Middleton (hamstring), FB Paul Homer (hamstring), DT Cameron Elisara (neck) and CB Justin Glenn (knee) probable. LSU: LB Perry Riley (shoulder) is probable.

Prediction: Huskies are sure to play with more passion, intensity than a year ago. But that might not be enough. LSU 35, UW 20.
