Washington rower wins silver at world championships
Washington rower Adrienne Martelli picked up a silver medal on the final day of the Under-23 World Rowing Championships, with the U.S. women's eight missing gold by just over a second.

RACICE, Czech Republic — Washington rower Adrienne Martelli picked up a silver medal on the final day of the Under-23 World Rowing Championships, with the U.S. women's eight missing gold by just over a second.
Great Britain won in 6 minutes, 20.71 seconds, and the Americans came in at 6:21.80.

• Reid Martin of Mukilteo shot a final-round 4-under-par 68 to capture the Everett Men's Amateur Championship by four shots at Legion Memorial Golf Course.
