Star of the game: Bruins running back Kahlil Bell rushed for 97 yards on 25 carries and UCLA put together 157 yards on the ground after averaging a Pac-10-low 78 yards coming in.
Play of the game: With 13:30 left in the second quarter, UCLA's Akeem Ayers rocked Washington quarterback Ronnie Fouch from behind, causing a sack and fumble and Bruins end Korey Bosworth recovered, rambling 17 yards to the UW 31. The Bruins took it in for the go-ahead touchdown in four plays and never trailed thereafter.
UW highlight: The Huskies picked off Kevin Craft three times, equaling their entire interception total in nine previous games.
UW lowlight: Continuing a pattern of season-long offensive struggles, the Huskies sputtered for 135 yards.
Injuries: UW cornerback/kick returner Matt Mosley (knee), undetermined severity.
Next week: Washington State in Pullman, noon Saturday.
