Getting to know ...
Ben Ossai, left tackleYear: Junior Hometown: Bakersfield, Calif.
Major: American Ethnic Studies. Ossai said he picked it because "you can do a little bit of everything with it. But I want to own my own business someday."
Was it tough adjusting to the climate in Seattle? "It took me awhile to get used to how cool it is here, but now it's hard to go back."
Favorite movies? "I like the new Batman in Imax. And "The Program" [a 1993 movie about college football] always. It's not very lifelike. But I just like how they have all the stereotypes
of all the different characters. It's pretty funny."
Coaches say you are in the best shape of your career — true? "I feel like I'm stronger ... in better shape. I've gotten heavier because I've put on a little bit of muscle. I'm about 320 and I was about 315 the beginning of last season."

What happened: The Huskies held one practice in the afternoon.
Locker getting closer? QB Jake Locker was still on the sideline for UW's practice, but as the media's availability ended, he was doing some pretty serious running drills, testing the left hamstring strain he suffered last Thursday.
Locker spent a few minutes stopping and starting, backpedaling and then changing direction, under the guidance of a trainer. He appeared to be going about two-thirds speed or so. He then did some 40-yard sprints, again probably going about two-thirds speed.
With UW in the midst of two-a-days, Thursday marked the ninth practice Locker has missed of 29 UW will hold before the Oregon game.
Also out Thursday were C Matt Sedillo (concussion), TE Michael Gottlieb and RB Brandon Johnson (calf).
Izbicki enters not guilty plea: Tight end Chris Izbicki has entered a not-guilty plea to two misdemeanor charges he faces in connection with an incident last month at the White River Amphitheater, according to a spokesman for King County Court.
Izbicki was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in King County District Court in Burien on the two charges — one for criminal trespass in the second degree, the other for minor in possession — but waived his appearance and entered the not-guilty plea.
His next scheduled court appearance is a pretrial hearing Sept. 15.
Fellner commits: The Huskies reportedly picked up their fourth commitment for the Class of 2009 from safety Nathan Fellner of Clovis West High School in Fresno, Calif. Scout.com calls Fellner the No. 52 safety in the country and reported that he also had offers from Stanford and Washington State.
What's next: The Huskies will practice twice today.
