Mesphin Forrester, CBYear: Senior Hometown: Los Angeles (Venice High)
Major: American Ethnic Studies, graduated in June. "I did an internship this summer with GLY Construction, so I'm trying to find a little niche there. I just always liked buildings and architecture and my cousin is into that too, so I just thought it would be something I would like."
Favorite musician: Kanye West. "His last one, Graduation, that's my favorite CD. I just like everything [he does]. People try to say he's cocky and what not, but he doesn't let what people say get to him."
Are you happy with the move to cornerback from strong safety? "I like it a lot. I've been practicing all summer with my footwork and my eye progression at corner, so I've been getting better."

What happened: The Huskies held two practices, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon — going in full pads in the morning.
Sign here, please: Picture Day meant the annual lengthy line greeting UW quarterback Jake Locker. More than 300 people waited for autographs and pictures of Locker when the event began, and the line was cut off shortly after due to a shortage of time to get everyone through. UW coach Tyrone Willingham had the second-longest line. True freshman Chris Polk appeared to have the next-longest line.
Injury report: Along with Locker, RB Brandon Johnson and CB Byron Davenport each sat out the morning practice. Willingham said Johnson, the team's projected starting tailback, is still struggling to recover from offseason knee surgery, while Davenport is ailing with an ankle injury suffered Friday.
"Brandon was a little slower today than we thought, but he'll be OK," Willingham said. "It's just some complications with [the recovery]."
Willingham said center Juan Garcia, who is recovering from a Lisfranc foot injury suffered in the spring, has been able to gradually increase his work in practice without suffering re-injury of any kind.
What's next: The Huskies will take today off before returning with two practices Monday.
