Huskies to host NCAA women
The University of Washington will host first- and second-round games for the NCAA women's basketball tournament in 2009 and 2010, the NCAA...
The University of Washington will host first- and second-round games for the NCAA women's basketball tournament in 2009 and 2010, the NCAA announced Tuesday.
Additional cities chosen to host games in 2009 include Bowling Green, Ky.; Chattanooga, Tenn.; East Lansing, Mich.; Iowa City, Iowa; Notre Dame, Ind.; San Diego; and Storrs, Conn.
The UW's Edmundson Pavilion and Seattle will host 2010 tournament games, along with Albuquerque, N.M.; Ames, Iowa; Cincinnati, Ohio; Durham, N.C.; Louisville, Ky.; Norman, Okla.; Pittsburgh; and Tallahassee, Fla.
The 2009 game dates are either March 21 and March 23, or March 22 and March 24. In 2010, games are either March 20 and 22 or March 21 and 23.
