What happened: Washington staged a single afternoon practice, following Monday's two sessions.

Sick bay: UW coach Tyrone Willingham wouldn't specify what injury has sidelined WR Cody Ellis, and Willingham says he's going to tighten restrictions on his injury reports, citing federal HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations and saying a handful of players haven't signed waivers to disclose injuries.

"I don't want to make a mistake, so it's better if I don't talk about any of them," Willingham said.

CB Byron Davenport (hamstring) was expected to be limited at best in the workout

QB update: While Willingham named redshirt freshman Jake Locker No. 1 at the outset of spring ball — and there doesn't appear to be anything contradicting that — but he didn't unequivocally rule out the use of Carl Bonnell in some sort of rotation, saying, "I like one quarterback [as a system], but if something comes up that we feel we need two and we have a comfort level, we'll use two," Willingham said. That appears highly unlikely, as offensive coordinator Tim Lappano said Monday that Locker "is getting a really good command of this offense, both in the run game and passing game."

Savannah closer? Without elaborating, Willingham said LB E.J. Savannah's eligibility issue doesn't appear "as problematic as it was." But he didn't speculate on when it might be cleared up.

What's next: The Huskies have their final two-a-day workouts today, followed by a scrimmage Thursday that Willingham is closing to the public and media.
