Four downs with ...
Cody Ellis, wide receiver
Height: 6-0. Weight: 185.
Year: Senior.
Hometown: Puyallup (Puyallup High).
Major: Sociology and was named to the first team All-Pac-10 Academic Team the past three years. He had a 3.74 grade-point average last year. "I've taken a lot of law classes, political science. I want to go to law school down the road."
So, do you pull out a tape every night to watch that 64-yard TD catch you made in the Apple Cup? "Not really. I've just seen it on TV. If it shows up on FSN or somewhere I watch it."
How did you make that catch? "It was kind of behind me and I reached back to try to catch it and I got my fingers on it. I don't know if it was luck or skill. I say skill, others say luck. It kind of just flipped up and I saw it spinning in the air and I trapped it against my leg and pulled it against my body and took off running."
So how do you break the monotony of training camp? "Anthony Russo's my roommate, and he has a TV. We'll watch that a lot. We've watched 'Anchorman' [the Will Ferrell movie] three nights in a row."

What happened: One full-pads practice.
Murchison pleads not guilty: CB Jordan Murchison entered a plea of not guilty to a charge of second-degree felony assault in King County Court on Thursday. A hearing was set for Aug. 30. Murchison currently is not with the team, and coach Tyrone Willingham said he likely will wait to make a final decision on his status until after the legal proceedings are finished. Murchison also faces three misdemeanor charges next month on a separate charge in Seattle Municipal Court.
Russo progressing quickly: WR Anthony Russo, who had surgery a week ago on his broken little finger, was back in full uniform and catching passes. He's still wearing a small cast on his hand.
Gold standard: Once again, four players wore gold — FB Paul Homer, DE Daniel Te'o-Nesheim, CB Roy Lewis and FS Jason Wells.
Injury report: CB Byron Davenport (hamstring) was out. OT Chad Macklin (knee) was limited. PK Erik Folk (back) is starting to do more.
What's next: Two practices today.
