Now this is an Earth Day effort we can really get behind — eco-friendly couch-potato-ing! Plus, the two green-titled shows are on KCTS, so they're doubly guilt-free (the other show celebrates lower-case earth day, as in dirt-related). Grab your solar remote and join along.
"Building Green," 1:30 p.m. Sunday, KCTS. Join series host Kevin Contreras as he builds his green dream home in Santa Barbara, Calif. (That's pretty close to the wineries, isn't it? Just sayin' — that would help our home projects, anyway.)
"The Dirt On ... ," 8 a.m. April 7, DIY Network. See? There is too "green" in this show — landscaper/host Ahmed Hassan answers questions from do-it-yourselfers who might be a tiny bit green-thumb challenged.
"Going Green: Every Home an Eco-Home," 2 p.m. Sunday, April 22, KCTS. Narrator Tony Shalhoub ("Monk") takes a group of kids on a tour of the original Eco-Home to see how we all can live more Earth-consciously. Things get touchy when he realizes he's sharing air with a gaggle of germy middle-schoolers. The show airs, appropriately, on the actual Earth Day.
